Ok definitely it's either a hit or a miss. Maybe a matching spoiler would even out the matte black look a little? It won't help people who see a 1LE but could even out the front with the rear.
The original hood took some damage in traffic and had to be replaced. The carbon fiber insert (the ZL1 insert) was undamaged and costs $4500.00 so it is staying on the car. That eliminates aftermarket options for a really nice hood.
My car is also a Nickey serialized car with a special carbon fiber stripe going down the side and, because a new hood would have to be matched in Red Crystal to the paint scheme already on the car, I'm not tearing off the stripe's to color match a new hood. The stripe's are part of being a Nickey car.
You guys following me on this? Usually damage to your car is simply an opportunity to mod but this one had few options, at least for the short term.
