The DWS is a great all-season tire and one I've had on many RWD cars for winter driving in the last few years. They will NOT hold up to track use. Period. They do not have close to the grip of a hot Goodyear F1 or Michelin PSS. They get a bit greasy when they get hot and you will find yourself sliding all over the place with no ability to regulate weigh transfer. Braking will also suffer.

These are road tires, and nothing more. But they are a great road tire, especially in rain or snow (assuming good tread depth).

As for price, I got mine more than a year ago, 275 in front 315 in back, for less than $1,000 installed. I don't know that I've seen the rears under $225 or the fronts under $175. So if you got them for half of the price of the Goodyears, you got a smoking deal. If you got them for half the price they're usually costing, you should buy them out of all stock and sell them +10% on here. You'd make a mint.

Side note: Continental is discontinuing the DWS and replacing it with something new. Not sure what the designation was, though.
