With all NPT style fittings whether it is in our can or another it a best practice to use thread tape to garantee a good seal. It may not be needed but it is better to be safe. Other catch can manufacturers recommend the same thing. After installing the fittings you can take a razor blade and trim away the excess for a clean look.

Got ya - thanks for the quick reply. One of the things I love about you guys! I wonder if installing a small black rubber washer of the proper diameter (in addition to the tape) would work to hide the tape. Nothing functional - just cosmetic. Hmmmm....
By the way, I just ordered one of your Catch Cans to replace the old RX can I currently have. It's just not doing the job on my SS that it used to when it was on my 1LT (V6). Probably should have upgraded the can when I upgraded the car.
