Sorry if anybody here was part of their build or design, but as a user of the product...they stunk. And to be honest, the '60s and '70s products were barely more acceptable, but nostalgia forgives a lot and at least the cars (if you bought the right ones) went sideways when you goosed the loud pedal.

I love Irocs because they were a cool car growing up, but you're right...they were absolute crap. Everything that wasn't cheap and brittle plastic was just plain cheap, with cheap trim. They were rattle traps even when they rolled off the lot. Anything that didn't break, faded, or came unglued.
GM Quality has come a long way since then, believe it or not!
I'd still love to restore one though, and keep it as a weekend/fun car.
