A few years back, I attended the "GM Auto Show in Motion" in Raleigh, NC where there were tons of GM cars and other non-GM cars that you could test drive on set up road courses, absolutely free, open to the general public. It was pretty sweet, I got to drive a Hummer H2 on a dirt course, a Cadillac CTS and SRX, a Pontiac GTO and most fun of all--a Corvette Z06 6-speed on road courses. The only one you had an instructor for was the Vette. It was an awesome time. It was like an amusement park where you could keep riding the same ride over and over again until you were wore out! I haven't seen any event like that since.
