I was just thinking that the Eco modes may also be good to use in bad weather conditions. I remember my driving instructor and dad used to say when acellerating on slick surfaces to drive like you had a raw egg between your foot and the acellerator. The Eco modes would kind of do that for you to keep from spinning the tires when slick.
