It is always worth buying new versus used. Not worth it if you plan to keep the car for 6 months but well worth it for a long term purchase.
If you can handle moving to a 2010 then the trade may be worth it. What I didn't like was the 2010 steering wheel compared to the 2012, but that's why I installed 2012-2014 ZL1 steering wheel and it was automatically much better. I did like the 2010's fully loaded interior over the 2012 cloth and basics. My car was driven 20k miles in one year but was in excellent condition and mechanically is perfect. Only bad is the cracked dash I'm dealing with but it's minor.
