I have Blue Velvet, and like it well enough. Yet, I respect your opinion, and can even see where you are coming from. The hood wrap on my 1LE doesn't stand out near as much as it would on Red, White or Silver. The Blue is very dark and looks almost black on cloudy days. You definitely have a point with what you are saying.
I like blue though, and don't think it is quite hideous by any means. They have "Blues" on other makes and models that looks almost purple in some lighting, and some blues that are so bright or light that it looks like it belongs in a baby's nursery. Blue is a hard color to get right, but when done right, it looks good IMO. The Blue Velvet on my Camaro is a solid choice, the blue on the C7 vette is about as ideal a blue as you could get. It isn't for everyone, but it is nice to have at least some selection to appeal to a wider audience.
Personally, I can't stand yellow on cars, but I am glad they offer it for those who do. How do you feel about that magenta color they offered on the 2014's?
