Be safe at the firing range!

My 77 year old Dad got injured at the pistol range yesterday. Emergency room trip. Not the injury you might imagine.

Be careful using the equipment and tools at the range. Many people handle, use, and abuse them. It's not like at home, even though you have things like brooms at home.

At the range, somebody can break a broom handle and leave, never telling anyone.

After Pop was done shooting, he grabbed a broom to sweep up his brass. The handle had been cracked.

Dad ended up with a thick long splinter through his ring finger- in one side and out the other- and then into his middle finger, pinning the two fingers together, immobile.

Yowch.
