I'm guessing they already have a dry track time. It's not like they only ran the Z/28 for one timed lap. They know the answer and what it is capable of.

As for an official announcement from Ford? Not sure this qualifies. The "trusted" source reported...........Sorry but that's a bit suspicious for me.

For me, without the CC brakes, this car should be doing a bit more than 500 "plus". Yes, CC wheels will help with acceleration and braking and I can't really say which is a bigger help to performance, brakes or wheels. Both help with rotational inertia in stopping and starting.

In the meantime in another 10 months, give or take, when you can actually get a GT350 and 350R we should know about where our new Gen 6 stands. And I have suspicions that an SS 1LE (track suspension) won't be too far off from our beloved Z/28.
