First off, hello! I'm a long-time lurker, but 1st time poster. Lot's of useful info here, as well as good people. I like that mix.
I was just curious if anybody else was getting rid of something else so they could get their Camaro. E.g. I'm about 99% sure I'll be putting a for sale sign in my 07' Grand Prix GXP (slightly modded w/12k miles) to pick up a Gen5. I'd love to keep both, but can't afford to.
I think I can say that I like everything about the Gen5 car... and especially if it gets the LS3/LSA. I drove my buddy's LS2 GTO last weekend and that basically sealed the deal. Though the LS4 in the GP is no slouch by any means, but what is pushing me from it is that it's FWD and an auto tranny. I want a manual
and the sexiness of the new Camaro.
Since I'll have to wait a while, I'm also going to compare it with the G8 GXP to see how it ranks... though from what I'm gathering the G8 may have a higher sticker... but time shall tell I guess.
