I don't have the BMR LCA's but I talked to a BMR rep extensively. Lets just say with the amount of power I'm trying to harness my sway bar bolts are really hacking up my rims when I drop the clutch and the weight shifts to the rear of the car. I only have contact with hard launches....but I drag race some.

The main body of the BMR LCA has a little more room than the stock unit if the tire balance weights are hitting the main body of the control arm. The sway bar bolt has to stay in the exact same location for all of the cars so there is no real benefit if the only contact you have is from the sway bar bolt. BMR still recommends grinding to make it clear. Lowering 1" will change the base camber of the rear axle but should not affect any of the clearance issues....I say this in theory, maybe you should PM Stephen12zl1, he is running 17" rims and lowering springs.
