I actually didn't install the lip on THIS car, but I have installed it on a few other cars before. It's not extremely easy, you for sure would need a lift or at least some significantly big ramps to get under the car. It's a huge piece, it's not just aesthetic, it's functional so it goes under the car a pretty decent amount, so it's not just a double side sticky tape and stick on kind of job:
Requires you to drill holes and bolt up to the bottom of the car, but for most people that's not too annoying to do.
This thread got dirty really quick. Yes I have banged it a few times
, but primarily going up driveways, on a curb once while making a u-turn, that hurt my pride more than it hurt the lip which actually didn't budge at all, no cracks or damage.
