Maybe they should have structured the Z like Ford did the with the Boss. I truly believe the 1LE should have been a lower level variation of the Z28, not a resurrected option that most didn't know existed. I've heard enough boohooing about the price and the hp, that it gets drowned out. The masses who relate to the Z28 name, are guys who drove the 78-81 Z28, and the 3rd and 4th gen sticker cars. No real mind blowing track performance stock, but ok street cars. This crowd wanted a Superman car at a Clark Kent price even if the performance matched.
