What made me skeptical is I have run the hell out of my Silverado for a long time and it has an LS motor that used to have an EGR. I assure you an EGR will put 10 times the crap in your intake than the pcv ever thought about (the oil from the pvc combined with exhaust gas is pretty nasty). That engine is a 155k and has no build up on the intake side of the valves. I know because I just put a new intake on it. I have used Seafoam occasionally over the years.



Yes, if I had a V6 I would probably have one, but not before I looked for myself. Think about it, installing the catch can is probably just as much work as removing the TB for a look.
Good to know. I have over 60k kms on my LS3 now and when I had my spupercharger installed last fall they said the intake was really clean. I usually checked myself anyway because I wanted to see if I actually needed a cc but she has never burnt oil and I have only had to add a bit of oil once in a while.
