Seriously though, I've seen enough pictures of blackened caked valves and disgustingly oily heads to make me a believer in the positive effects of a Catch Can. Would my car run just fine (and for just as long) without one? I can't know. What I do know is that having a catch can installed on the PCV return line catches a fair amount of oily gunk which, if you let it sit for a while, turns into a multi-layered combination of cycled oil and condensation. I've seen it in my catch can and let it sit long enough to separate. I don't want that crap in my engine - period! If a quality catch can keeps most of it out, I'm all for it. Less than $200 for a lot of piece of mind.
