Just wanted to officially make a thread about my upgrade to an SS in January. I purchased my Cyber Grey 2LT/RS convertible 2 summers ago, and I've always loved it. But I immediately knew that sometime in the near future I'd like to upgrade to the V8, and I've finally done it. In early January, I traded for a 2012 2SS/RS convertible (Victory Red) with only 14,000 miles, whereas my 2LT/RS had about 33,000 miles. The car had the GM Ground Effects kit on it, which really isn't my cup of tea. So I had them removed and sold them, and I absolutely love the look of the car now. I just thought the GFX made it look too bulky.
Unfortunately, this weather hasn't permitted too much enjoyment with my new car, so I haven't been able to have too much fun with it yet. That hasn't stopped me from modding it, though, hahaha. My 2LT/RS had Technostalgia sequential tail lights, but I decided not to keep them because of the perpetual problems with them. LED's have burnt out over 3 times now, I've sent them back only to have them go out again, etc.. Loved the way they look, but I just can't keep on sending them back for repair every 6 months.
Mods so far:
• GFX Kit removed
• ZL1 Replica rims
• Custom painted bow ties (River City)
• "45th" Badges added ( I know it's not officially a 45th edition, but it sorta is

)
• LED daytime running lights
• LED footwell lights (Red)
• Window tint (previous owner had it applied)
• SLP "Fading" gloss black side gills
Future mods planned:
• VIS Terminator carbon fiber hood (currently in my shed, waiting for warmer weather)
• Spyder blacked-out LED tail lights (installing them this weekend!)
• LED mailslot scanner (going to order tonight, probably)
• Painted brake calipers (Red, most likely)
I'll post some before and after pictures in the comments below.
Although I'll always love and miss my V6, I'm thrilled to finally be a part of the V8 community! Sorry for the long read, just had a whooooole lot to say!
