4 SC cars before the ZL1. 1 has over 3000,000 miles and never had a problem, Yes there is oil film in the intake but it gets burned. 197,000 miles on #2 car and 78,000 miles on #3 car. #4 is a GT500 that is run hard with 48,000 miles. Did a blower swap this winter and old blower looked new inside. Oil changes on all these cars is at 3000 miles and all but the GT500 have Delo 400 15/40 in them Hi detergent which caries away all deposits. Never had any sludge buildup in any of them.
As for is the catch can worth it? if it makes you feel better then yes it is. it has yet to prove it is needed to improve engine performance or longevity to me. Before and after dyno tests show no differance. I for 1 like a clean engine compartment. not looking for show under the hood, I will save that for the outside of the car.
