I don't see that as knocks against the GT, but rather props to the Vette and Viper...which have both long outperformed cars costing way more than them. BUT they were never meant to go after Ferrari like the GT was, its direct comparison was the F430 which its performance was very on par with. Acceleration to GT braking to the F430. Look at all the cars the Z/28 can hang with or even outperform...does it make those other cars failures?
The GT is not supposed to be affordable like the Corvette it is. I do agree I think the new one is going to cost a huge chunk of change, but I don't think i will be a failure. I think it will do just fine against the worlds best performance cars
