It doesn't have to be a V8, some of my fondest cars were 4 Cyl. '85 Mustang SVO which killed quite a few V8's, VW GTI which killed a few muscle cars in the 80's, and next to the 1LE best handler ever 04 SVT Focus with Yoko 008 Shaved tires. Better get used to small motors with multi staged turbos and hybrid drive assist because that is 60% of the projects I am dealing with at work for engines in the future. Its going to be pretty cool when the aftermarket gets ahold of these motors, because it will be pretty much Tabletop dyno figures, basically a hybrid drive can fill in all the low dips or lags. Lets not forget after engine technology to increase mileage, comes lightweight. The super car mono carbon fiber chassis, will bleed down to normal cars using more future fabrics with less cost of carbon fiber, but simular strengths. That means more benefit for the performance enthusiast. I know some people worry about cars driving themselves, but they have a benefit. Say you want to drive from NYC to California by yourself. The car drives while you sleep to great roads of america like the dragon, then you take over etc. all the way to California in 1.5 days.
