Some of it is a matter of the engine availability.

The Camaro comes in 4x engine types. (not counting the LS3/L99)

V6
V8 (for SS)
V8+Supercharger
V8 (for Z28)

What you see is the performance variant is always a V8. (Just look at motorsports and the Camaro always a V8)

And by having a V6 you have the lowest engine variant and you buy it for the look.

But IMO, that is form over function and is not how most car enthusiasts roll.

Your argument of a Ford GT with a TTV6 is pointless because that is the only available option.

Think Nissan GT-R.

If you own a Nissan GT-R no one is like "ohhh sucks you got a V6". The TTV6 is the only option.

If you buy a V6 then OWN IT, LOVE IT.

What I normally see is V6 owners denying why they bought it and always trying to compare to a V8, but when a V8 owner does the reverse everyone is mad.

LOVE WHAT YOU DRIVE. If you want a V6 get it, but it will not be near the peak of Camaro happiness.
