After thinking about this a minute... yes and no. Sure, any time a competitors brand sells in a class GM offers a car in, it's a "lost" sale for GM. Conversely, the Mustang has been selling in this market for a very long time and their gains aren't so much that it surprises, at a re-launch. They've not sold 10 million by accident. The only kinda surprise would be the Challenger and who knows how long it will last? It isn't likely to remain a strong competitor, but I hope it does. That promotes the makers to make... better. That said, it isn't like GM didn't project something close to this and it is sitting pretty well for the next Camaro. All told, I see no harm to any brand here and if any "hurt" is being handed out, it's likely all soaked up to sales elsewhere, brand to brand.
