I am going Monday when my salesman is back from vacation to at least take it for a ride. I hope to have it in my garage sometime next week.

CONGRATULATIONS, PETE!!!...I am sooooooooo happy for you...

Get ready to enjoy the "RIDE OF YOUR LIFE"...now you really know first hand what we are all talkin' 'bout...

Thanks! I can't wait.

This part of your story??.....

".......After a few seconds I sit down into the car and let the leather seat absorb me. I grab the steering wheel and I can feel (I know this is going to sound stupid) the history, the legacy of this car. I can sense the passion that has gone into it and its ancestors....."

no -- it does not sound stupid in the least to anyone who loves automobiles...... and yes, you'd be right that there is an incredible amount of passion that has gone into Camaros both past and present.......

While I've said this to others, please believe my sincerity:
We hope your new Camaro will be the best, most satisfying car you've ever owned and that it will give you "perma-grin" each and every time behind the wheel.

( "Thor" now approaches 14,000 miles and I still look forward to getting behind his steering wheel every morning at 6am......... I DO try to whisper because my neighbors might think I'm cracking up when I say "Good Morning, Thor! Let's go!" )
Thank you Scott. I am sure I will be talking to this car a lot. No worries on it taking a little time. It was worth the wait (and I haven't even driven it yet!). Glad that you recalled the subs. Oh and as you can probably tell from the pictures, the perma grin comes standard with my car!

Yeah, it's pretty hard to find fault with this car. The gifted people at GM had the right philosophy throughout, as fbodfather stated it, "We hope your new Camaro will be the best, most satisfying car you've ever owned and that it will give you "perma-grin" each and every time behind the wheel." I know I'm still grinning.
Oh, and your wife is not only understanding....she's gorgeous! Take care, and don't be a stranger here, buddy.
Thanks Rod and the wife says thanks too.
