I have owned both cross drilled and slotted rotors. I have used Baer bear claws on my T-Bird, AP Racing big brake kit on an 2002 supercharged Escalade, and now Racing Brake slotted rotors on my ZL1. I have never had a major cracking issue with crossed drilled rotors on the kits that had them. Unstable Vic made the definitive reply. I have seen some half assed attempts at cross drilling from some vendors. As stated mainly cosmetic these days as the newer pad materials don't "off gas" as much anymore.
