You really only need to burnish brakes after you swap them out. If you swap them out, then YES, I would absolutely do this. It also ensures they're bedded properly.

If you're going to track your car, then you are going to be getting MUCH more intense on the brakes than anything you can do on the street. Trust me, your 1LE can handle it, Buffman. I was braking from 132+mph at VIR down to 50 or so mph this weekend at VIR multiple times along the front stretch, everytime just shy of activating ABS. If you're worried about getting on your brakes hard, then you've got another thing coming this weekend Hopefully, you have an instructor riding along with you who will get you to push the car a bit and get you used to driving it a bit harder.

I think you'll be surprised how much the car can actually handle. You should have a blast.
