I wanted to start a build thread for my ZL1. Ive owned the car since May 2012 and recently within the last year or so I began to modify it and put my own personal touch on the beast. Around a year or year and half ago I began using what is known as plastidip on the emblems (camaro on the fenders, ZL1's, and bowties). Before plastidip, I tried vinyl on the bowties but wasn't satisfied with the outcome and texture for long. I decided then that I wanted to give the Z a stealth look to it. Meaning getting rid of all the chrome and giving the vehicle a menacing look. Using plastidip, I did just that. Over the year as most know, plastidip begins to wear and tear revealing some of the chrome emblems underneath. I plan to replace them with flat black.matted emblems with the ZL1 emblem having a red "1". Anyway I'll update this from time to time to keep everyone up to do, but until then I will end this with my Planned build list.
