If you want the VTC to give you a little better throttle response to improve your daily driving and would like to have an occassional burst, you're probably going to be more gentle on the drivetrain than the person who is characterized by aggressive driving, without a VTC. Besides, you don't have to drive around on 9 all the time. Is a VTC any more harsh on the engine than those cars prior to "Drive by wire"? With it set on 5 it's still has a little more lag than direct linkage. At least that's the way I see it. Thoughts?
