It's the route I plan to take. A supercharger adds weightweight, and to the top of the engine at that. For strictly 'go straight' fast I can see the draw to it, but top heavy extra weight up front does nothing for road handling, except hurt it. And adding a supercharger without other bits, like lowering compression, changing cam, porting the heads, makes for a 'flat' power increase, meaning the HP curve stays similar to the stock curve, which leaves a little to be desired for me.
To get the setup above, you have a hard pull to the redline, and twisty track-worthy power. I haven't finished pricing it out, but assuming you have all the basics(intake, exhaust, tune), this extra 125hp should run you about $4500 if you do the wrenching yourself.
