So i cut a new mirror to replace the teal mirror, sanded the edges smooth and it fits perfect
I think i figured out a way to change colors with the gels, so you can change the color under the dash bezel, rather than opening the unit each time.
Basically i put a clear mirror, took out the teal gel, so the text is all white now, so my next test will be putting the gel film under the dash bezel to see how it affects the colors, and post results.
I'm shooting for making everything clear inside the unit, then being able to change to any color without removing the unit each time.
