It makes sense that they would but there has not been anything announced and actually they are such differently targeted vehicles I can see why both exist.

But what I see is a Z/28 with upgrades in power to a future ZL1-like car or the reverse - a ZL1 with a Track/stripper package to give you the Z/28 performance. Makes sense to me.
Given that the Z/28 has a much longer history, I would bet that if only one moniker survives, the Z/28 would be the one. I hope not but it makes sense.
