Please don't try to thank a veteran this Memorial weekend or try to shake their hands. Instead take a minute from your backyard BBQ and have a moment of silence for all of those soldiers, past and present, that died to secure the future of your family.

It's been 10 years since I last saw my friend SFC. Randy Collins. This man died in a mortar attack on a base in Mosul Iraq blocking the entrance to the concrete bunker. He saved several lives that day whom where all able to go back home to their loved ones. He survived by his wife and three kids in California. A father, a friend and the best soldier I have ever had the honor of knowing. If he would have survived he would have retired 6 years ago.

You will never be forgotten.
