Man...sorry about your troubles.

That's why I never have anyone do my oil changes. If you do it at one of those oil change places It's always done by some gear head wannabe who thinks that because he can take off a drain plug and screw on a filter that he's a qualified mechanic.

Additionally, I never take my car to a dealer for anything unless its warranty related. Too many punks that work in the back that will take your car on a joy ride, or wipe it down with old dirty rags, or sit on the paint, or blast your radio for four to five hours while they work...etc...etc. Or as you've already seen...damaged your vehicle mechanically or botched a repair only to not step up afterwards.

Dealers really need to focus on paying their mechanics more money so they can retain qualified individuals and maintain a constant improvement in skills by having their techs go to continued education.

Should've waited for the Camaro I suppose. Hindsight is always 20/20. Either way I hope things work out for you. I was really close to buying a Corvette but stopped my non-chalant search when I found that the cars didn't live up to the hype and the interiors were far from desireable.
