Do I need to use TPMS sensors with my aftermarket wheels? Will the car allow it, or will I set off all sorts of warning lights? I've always had good luck checking the pressure myself and I don't want to pay additional money for something I can do without.

To clarify: I have a 2LT/RS. I will be switching the stock 20" wheels and summer treads for 18" wheels and winter treads during the winter. Do I need to buy 4 sensors for my winter setup, or can I do without? (Tirerack said sensors would be an additional $300)
