I just got to thinking, what if you make them 'inverted turn signals'. As in, the bulbs are always on, but when you use the turn signal, they blink off... In my 6, I added some lights to the lower bumper in some reflectors. Wired in positive from the brake lights into one lead and the positive from the turn signals into the other one giving the car extra brake lights that do inverted turns if I'm on the brake or regular turns if I'm not braking. What if you replaced the - line from the turns with a + from a running light? I don't have my car yet, or I'd try this...
