While we're on the subject, I've got a question for you guys about jack stands. I've got a low-profile jack and jack stands, so I can jack the car up by the subframe and get the jack stands under the pinch welds, however in a couple of spots, the jack stands have mangled the pinch welds. Would you guys recommend using a jackpad with the stands? My jack stands have tops like these:



And I'm curious if the pads would actually work with those. Assuming that the bottom of the pinch weld is full seated on the pad, and the base of the pad isn't wider than the head of the stand, it seems like it would work, but I'd appreciate any better/alternative solutions.
