The FASTEST TEXAS Mile 5th gen in the world runs a Kenne Bell Supercharger and he is a convertible no less. Snappys ride is awesome, but wasn't he running spray?
At the last Runway Rivalry, in Class A, the fastest class., the first and second place cars BOTH had prochargers and were beating turbo and twin turbo cars throughout the two days to get to the finals. BOTH those cars were more consistent than the turbo cars that on paper supposedly made more peak power.
Turbo technology is no doubt getting better but claims of supercharger killer kits have no basis in fact. If you don't believe that try and bring a fifth gen turbo car out to the TEXAS MILE in October and keep up with SNAPPY's Kenne Bell supercharged Camaro. You act like all the turbo cars are scared and that there wont be a single turbo car to show up. Id be wiling to bet that there are a few 5th gens out their with turbos come October. That car will probably run 240 MPH and there wont be a fifth gen turbo car within probably 15-20 MPH of that.

I also think Snappy's car is sweet and deserves its recognition, but I think if you pay attention to some of the motorsports world and see what they are using for reliable power in extreme environments, you'll see a trend building. You seem to limit your statements to the 5th gen camaro, have you seen any of the other cars out in the world that run turbos, and what kinda power there making?
Ill just close with this, a well built car, with the right equipment and driver will accomplish amazing things. Snappy's car is proof of that. Not to take away from their accomplishment, but with the collection of people and resources he/they have, something tells me he would have broken that record in a golf cart with a battery powered motor. Smart people with a little cash can do great things. I think you would get your point across better if you stopped acting like Snappy did what he did because he couldn't do it with a turbo setup. And if that's true maybe it would be better if snappy himself would say it.
In the end, records are made to be broken, and something tells me that Snappy also knows that statement to be true, prolly why he is not jumping up and down like you are over which FI system produces more power or faster.
