You can have tread separate on a non-retread as well. All you have to do is run them under-inflated and they will separate the radial belts from the core. Retreads aren't the only ones that cause this, nor are 18-wheelers!

Fair enough! I wasn't actually blaming the big rigs. Most of them are consumer grade stuff. Regardless, dodging the damn things is basically a daily occurrence
