If the dimensions are accurate then I think it's too small.
After reading this I'm worried I may need a cooler that is as wide as my radiator. I suppose if I space it up slightly I could manage that but I don't know anyone who makes a single cooler that wide.

Stock cooler is a step back. Cooling 290 degree oil with 220 degree fluid versus 290 degree oil with 80 degree air, it's just a matter of surface area now.

I'm using this one:

I'm thinking about replacing it with this one:

I'm also wondering if the 90-degree rotated orientation is causing me issues. As you can see, the ports are at the side, not at the top:
This 48-row series 9 cooler I referenced above has a much higher cooling capacity, and would fit where I installed, but some part of it might be blocked by the crash beam, and I wonder if it would impede its performance.
HP range Part Number Width (in) Height (in) ∆P (psi) btu/hr range
600+ 50-172-7612 8.27 22.13 0.8/1.0 40,000-60,000
600+ 50-948-7612 15.94 14.70 1.8/3.1
69,000-96,000
Looks like it has 50% more capacity. What do you think? I am really speechless about the amount of cooling I need.
When I mentioned the OEM cooler, I meant to use it in tandem with my aftermarket cooler. I did that on my supercharged Miata, and it finally kept the oil temps around 270 (which creeps to low 280s by the end of a 45 minute session; acceptable).
