If you are using cheap WalMart of CostCo micro-fiber towels, there is your problem. Worse if you use them more than once between washing. Oh yes, micro-fiber can be washed, gentle wash, light soap, and do not mix them with other laundry!
I get my towels from Adams Polishes. A bit more expensive but each one is about 12" x 12" (bigger I think) and very very very soft and thick. Like new again after washing.
