Here is the weird thing. A local transmission shop run by a guy who does a lot of drag racing installed the ZL1 kit on my 1LE. When I got the car back I very surprised to find zero drive-line lash. No clanking.

Then when I had to replace my DOA Centerforce DYAD with a Street Slayer, the drive-line lash and the annoying clanking is back. One other thing I did when the clutch was installed was to replace my diff bushings with the H-E offset bushings that raises the ZL1 diff an inch. Could this be the cause?

So a second question, if I go aftermarket driveshaft would it cure the clanking? I suppose there could be slight performance advantage with a lighter driveshaft.
