I would like to see the 16 GT350 and 15 Z/28 compared but it does lose something since a new Camaro gen will be in production by the time the 350 hits the street. After all, we already know the 16 SS will beat the 16 GT in every way. Pity Ford doesn't have a ring time

As already noted, 2015 GT350's will be getting into enters hands in the August/September timeframe, so seeing a model-year to model-year comparison is very probable.
As for the GT vs SS discussion, yes, it looks like GM was able to engineer a Gen6 Camaro that can outperform a 6thGen Mustang. It's not like it's the first tine that has happened in the history of the rivalry, so maybe that's why nobody spends too much time dwelling on the subject.
Do we know Ford does not have a 'Ring time? They were testing the GT350 there well before the recent ban by that venue. But to your point, we're unlikely to see Ford ever release a time, even if they have it, as it is not their M.O. I'm sure we'll get times for the GT350 from the notable North American tracks though, so there will be plenty of data to discuss in the near future.
