The new diff probably has better lash tolerances and the DYAD was absorbing the torque loads minimizing the noise. Mine does the same, not like my original thought of the cranky clutch but I can hear a little lash in the trans. I haven't paid enough attention to notice if it's in the diff as well.

Thanks. So a one piece driveshaft might not help.
