I have 39k on my zl1 and just replaced the passenger side rear shock. I have ordered a second one for the drivers side as well, so waiting on that to arrive. I started noticing the rough ride and bouncing all over so I checked the shocks and of course, one had oil all over it. Drivers side did seem to have some residue, but not near as bad. After changing the passenger, I can certainly feel a difference between the two.

Additionally, I feel like my front suspension is quite firm after replacing the right rear. What I'm wondering is.... is the front suspension a different component than the rear as in are those struts vs shocks? and is there any chance the fronts would be covered under warranty or will they be the same as the rears and be considered a maintenance item?
