I have HUD on one of my Vette's and I just had the windshield replaced. I was quoted the thousand dollar price for the HUD friendly glass, or $300 for standard glass, not HUD. I opted to go with the $300 and figured I would just not be able to see the HUD in it, and I sacrificed that since I don't drive this particular Vette too much anyways. Much to my surprise, I can still see the HUD very well! I would say there is some lack of the reflection, but I'd guess I'm about 85% good, and that's good enough. At night, I see no difference.
