First of all the first year 1990 was the dog of the series ,it only had a 3 speed turbo 400 trans . In 1991 and on they had an overdrive trans and were faster and got better fuel mileage . 1990 was the worst year of the SS454 truck. Take a look at what the performance numbers were with these pigs , 10 to 12 mpg and 15.8 1/4 mile OINK OINK OINK . ......
