I wouldn't want to badmouth Sands, but you got better treatment than I did, with regards to updates. I had to make the calls repeatedly and even showed up in-person to get an update, up until maybe 2 or 3 weeks before it got here.
However, patience IS a virtue, here. After 23 weeks, I have to say it was definitely worth the wait. I am so in love with my new car.
