Pretty much how it is today. Unfortunately some profs keep requesting new 'editions' where 1 typo or so was corrected, making the previous edition completely worthless.
I had book that I bought used for 100 bucks, only to find that they had changed editions and I got..oh 5 bucks back on that one? The other 50 buck book was changed and they didn't give me squat. I just keep my aviation books because..well..
I can never tell which way these damn alternators and generators are wound. End up wiring them up backwards and blowing up the motor..which a bunch of us did 2 months ago. Talk about brix shat..
TLDR: I hate text books.
