As this is all just a speculation discussion here, numbers alone don't mean much. Emotions about nostalgia (or lust) has to play into it somewhere in order to make the desirability part work.
Rare does not always equate to desirability. Again, they made a gajillion 1st gen Camaros that are selling for 10X or more what they stickered for on a bad day if they're in good shape, and they don't even have to be a Z/28. I just don't think its likely one could get $750,000 for a 5th gen in 50 years.
Again, you MUST account for the cost of upkeep as well, which isn't cheap to ensure the car stays pristine.
Will a Z/28 hold better values down the road? If history has anything to say about it, yes. Be investment value? Perhaps. We can hope, but jury's still out at this point. It's all new and shiny now, but what will we be seeing 5-10 years from now from Camaro?
