The dealer did a similar thing with my RX~8. So during the predelivery inspection I noticed a scratch on the rear bumper. Well i was having a spoiler added so they said they would fix the scratch when they painted and installed the spoiler. Well I got the car back and in the sun the bumper was obviously BROWN, not black.
So i took it back and the tech is like "hey whats wrong" I said come look at my car, he steps outside where I parked it so the bumper would be noticable, he turns around and walks back in. He sayd to me "thats brown" UMMM yea. so he give me a loaner and calls me a few hours later and says my car is fixed.... OK how? So I ask... and I quote "We took a black bumper off a lot car and switched them, hopefully whoever buys that car wont notice" OMG!!! Worked for me but...
And all I got was a ziplock bag... also
