Transmission and rear end gearing are still missing from the equation as are tires and a vinyl covered hood.
The suspension could still use an upgrade and they could really show what this platform is capable of with the right tire setup. It wasn't just the bolt on parts that made the 5th gen 1LE great it was all the time they spent fine tuning before they released the package. Just because base SS handling is much improved doesn't negate the 1LE it just means an Alpha 1LE will be a hell of a car. The run flats themselves are leaving a lot on the table. I'm loving how much Motortrend is in love with the Camaro, makes me want to upgrade but that's not likely for me. Great times for the Camaro are just ahead.
